Not all DRoH Dogs are listed on our website. New intake dogs are first presented to approved adopters and often get adopted.  We recommend any serious adopter applies to adopt and gets in the DRoH approved adopter queue so they will see the newest dogs as they arrive.

Maggie was pulled from a local shelter this past June at 2 lbs. She'd been abandoned behind a HEB with her litter mates. Maggie is NOT a dachshund but we fondly say she is a wannabe. She'll be a medium sized dog with a beautiful bridal coat. Maggie is very attentive to commands and shows signs of being highly intelligent. At 3 months she can sit and stay on command. She is coming along on house training, recall command and social interactions. She'll need a fenced/secure yard as she loves to run but will also settle in for the perfect lap companion. She is crate trained and sleeps through the night. We are starting to leash train and she's doing well. Maggie would make a perfect addition for an in house companion for a older couple but she could fit into a home nicely with respectful children. Maggie is still young so she still will chew and puppy nipping is normal. Her nature is gentle so as she matures with proper handling those things will pass. Maggie has had only gentle treatment, a security exercise pen for when her foster parents are away, fresh food and water daily. She's known nothing but love and that is what we are seeking for her in her forever home. She's a rare one being sponsored by DROH.
